Born in 1955, Robert Francis Prevost and growing up as a Sox fan in an ordinary Chicago neighborhood, his humble background prepared him for the priesthood and more specifically as an Augustinian missionary dedicated to the people of Peru.
“And behold, I am with you always, until the end of

Mary and Elizabeth stand out as mothers,
profound in their patience, their trust, and the
vocation God intended for each regardless of their
respective age. Much the same, Hannah and
Naomi each had a certain faith and trust in God’s
providence for their calling as mothers.

tradition of dedicating the month of May to
Mary began in the 13th century.
